CP Recovery History
Since opening our doors in July 1997, CP Recovery has filled an invaluable role in the need for Urethane Foam Recycling in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area. From that time to today, over thirteen million pounds of urethane foam have been diverted from our area landfills.
Dick McNeal has been a partner and/or manager in Carpet Pad Recovery since it was founded in 1997, and is currently serving a role as consultant. He has personally overseen all aspects of the business since its creation in a small warehouse to our current operation today. Currently Carpet Pad Recovery processes over 150,000 pounds of urethane foam pad per month in addition to the 90.000 pounds of electronic equipment per month that is demanufactured. When the company was founded, there were two employees, one of which was Mr. McNeal. Today's current staffing is 15 full-time employees.
In January 2001, CP Recovery realized an increasing need for the recycling of electronics, and as a result expanded into that role. Currently we process approximately 90,000 pounds of electronics per month.
In February 2006, CP Recovery opened a second electronics recycling facility to serve the needs of the Des Moines, Iowa metropolitan area. It is the only large scale facility focused solely on electronics recycling in the metropolitan area.
In February 2007, CP Recovery began accepting used and scrap carpet for recycling, providing a method other than the landfill to dispose of this waste. And as of May of 2008, over 4 million pounds of carpet has been recycled through CP Recovery.
